Linda J. Albertano was a phenomenon from the 1960s to the 2020s. Reared as a child in various unkind foster homes she was named Los Angels’ Poet Diva and excelled as performance artist, musician, filmmaker, brilliant with ideas, florid with emotion, and truth-teller with her unique picture of relations between the sexes, and events in the world at large. It All Began With Cherry Soup,” illustrates the romance that followed Linda and Frank’s first meeting and portrays the subsequent 55 years after meeting on a cold, rainy winter night in February 1968 while hitchhiking to his manager’s home in Hollywood Hills, CA. Cherry Soup was their first meal together.

Introducing Poetry Diva
Despite facing a tough childhood in foster care, Linda’s academic success led to her being honored as Poet Diva of Los Angeles on August 5, 2005. This fourth book, “Poetry Diva”, came about late in 2024 when Frank and his techie Alex found sixty-two of Linda’s old works in her archives that they had not seen before. The poems, stories and songs ranged from the late 1970’s to the first decade of the Twenty-first Century.
